His first taste f UK chart success was with his cllabratin with Rishi Rich. The sng "Dance With Yu Nachna Tere Naal" became a tp twenty hit. His first sl single prper "Eyes n Yu" quickly fllwed and it became a tp ten hit peaking at number six.
His third single "Stlen" became his biggest hit t date peaking at number fur. Fllwing this his debut album Me Against Myself was released t much critical praise and acclaim.Jay Sean has als been a big hit verseas in India. Jay Sean returned in late 27 with the vide fr "Ride It" the first single frm his secnd album "My wn Way" riginally prvisinally titled Deal With It due fr release in March 28. The vide fr the single was sht n the 12 August 27 in the central Lndn nightclub MVida. n 28 September 27 the vide was exclusively available t watch n 3G mbile handsets and n 9 ctber 27 was fficially released t the internet by 2Pint9 Recrds. The new vide featured Jay Sean with a new style after being ut f the limelight fr nearly three and a half years.
"Ride It" was riginally due fr release in December 27 but due t majr radi statins ffering t playlist the track if it was pushed back until early 28 the single release was pushed back t 14 January 28 eventually being released n 21 January 28. "Ride It" prduced by Alan Samsn became Sng f the Week n Lndn's Kiss 1 Radi n 1 December 27 and was als been playlisted n Capital FM Chice FM Galaxy BBC 1xtra and being featured n BBC Radi 1's B-list. It reached the number 1 spt n MTV's The Base Chart Shw.
At the 28 UK AMA Awards Jay Sean walked away with duble hnrs after being presented with the 28 - UK Asian Music Award fr bth Best Vide Ride It and Best Urban Act. He went n t perfrm 'Ride It' and his next single 'Maybe' t the assembled crwds at the Ryal Festival Hall n Suthbank in Lndn.n Jay Sean's new album tw sngs als appear n the featured artist's album. "I started rapping 11 years ag" Sean remembers. "I was in a grup called Cmpulsive Disrder it was a punk-rap grup. We gt urselves a few gigs and when DJs such as Chice FM’s 279 played it we received a lt f lcal ntriety." Disillusined with the UK's cynical rap scene fcussed as it was n the clur f his skin rather than the cntent f his sngs Sean quickly immersed himself in R&B. "Hip hp was my first lve but as sn as I gt int prducing R&B became my mistress. As a teenager I grew up n a ccktail f music. I was surrunded by a lt f different influences frm black white and Asian

In truth I’m nt afraid t have a dig at myself as I try nt t take myself t seriusly."
